Job Description Location: Southeast Michigan
Pay: $19-$22 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Position OverviewA well-established fabrication company in Southeast Michigan is seeking experienced Welder/Fabricators to join their team. This role is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong fabrication experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts based on blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel and stainless steel
- Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, pipe threading machines, forklifts, and overhead cranes
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Rig and move materials and equipment safely
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and precision
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow OSHA and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in metal fabrication and welding
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and mechanical systems
- Proficient in blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, metal shears, and ironworkers
- Skilled with hand and power tools
- Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel
- Strong attention to detail and precision workmanship
- Ability to pass a fabrication knowledge test and OSHA safety training test
