The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Zeeland that are seeking Weld Technicians. Key Responsibilities - Perform welding operations using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) on diverse materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, defects, and adherence to specifications using appropriate tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment, fixtures, and machinery as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize welding processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Recommended Qualifications - Associate's degree in Welding Technology or a related field.
- AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 3+ years of experience in various welding processes (MIG, TIG, STICK) within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties.
- Experience with welding inspection techniques and quality control procedures.
