Position Title: Hairstylist

Reports To: Salon & Spa Manager and Supervisor

Supervises: N/A

Summary of Position

This position requires a stylist to perform broad range of salon services, which range from cutting hair and artistic hair coloring. Typical duties include shampooing, cutting hair, though they may also provide other hair treatments, including deep conditioning, permanents, hair coloring, and weaving. Stylist must be skilled at using a wide range of beauty products and tools. Salon Stylist must be able to work with variety of hair lengths, types and texture. Stylist must complete knowledge of infectious diseases. Stylist must maintain the cleanliness of salon and his/her Stations. Help maintain adequate inventory of hair product and tools. Others amenities a stylist may provide include Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing, and Makeup Application. Stylist are required to work normal business hours during the week: Weekend, and Holidays. Ensuring cliental satisfaction while operation within establish guidelines and policies. Stylist must keep on top of current hair cutting styling trends, attend on going educational classes to keep the Salon current with Hairstyles and services maintaining to top level of fun, relaxation, and professionalism.

• Required to work all Marketing Special Events and Concerts.

• Reports all guest complaints and compliments to Supervisor or Manager.
• Reports all situations to Supervisor or Manager where resort grounds or equipment do not meet IMGR&C standards.

• Salon Stylist must acquire current N.M. State Licenses. 2 years or more experience cutting and styling hair in a salon. Excellent communication and customer services skills. Friendly and Professional demeanor. Able and willing to work flexible schedule. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) must have a proven record of dependability of performance.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Must be able to use hand held communications devices. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The team member must be able to stand for several hours.

The noise level in the work environment is loud. The team member will be exposed to a second-hand smoke-filled environment. The team member may be exposed to biohazardous fluids such as blood and other body fluids. The team member may be exposed to hostile environments with guest. May be subject to high stress environments.
