Job Description: Weld Technician | Whitehall, MI Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Whitehall region seeking Weld Technicians. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities - Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) on a variety of materials and thicknesses.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications using various inspection methods.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welders, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues, adjusting parameters as needed to achieve desired results.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize welding procedures and improve product design.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Recommended Qualifications - High school diploma or GED
- AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing welding
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
- Experience with various welding processes (MIG, TIG, STICK)
- Ability to perform quality checks and troubleshoot welding issues
Bonus Qualifications - AWS CWI certification
- Experience with robotic welding systems
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with NDT methods (e.g., VT, PT, MT)
