Storytellers/ Actors/ Tutors – Part Time, Orlando Are you a performer, teacher, or creative person with an eager and optimistic outlook in the Orlando area? We’re looking for fun, creative people with experience working with children. We value fun more than chess mastery. Responsibilities Teach children aged 3-7 using the Story Time Chess curriculum, which includes stories, games, and puzzles. Use clear lesson plans and participate in training and ongoing support. Communicate with families, schools, and the team to ensure a positive learning experience. Show leadership potential; high‑performing tutors may be considered for a “Super Tutor” role that includes coaching a team, leading demo classes, and building relationships with schools and community partners. Requirements Fun, animated, and great with children aged 3-7 Passion for teaching and hospitality Organized, responsible, and reliable Great communicator – responsive to families, schools, and our team Comfortable with outreach (referrals, school contacts, community opportunities) Familiarity with chess is a plus but not required Background in performance, teaching, or early childhood education is a bonus Bachelor’s degree preferred Background check required at hire Schedule After school hours primarily, but also some in‑school hours Choose your own hours (Monday to Friday, with optional weekends) Location Orlando, FL Position Details $40/ hour (teaching rate.
