Instructional Aide Subs Needed Per Diem | Escondido, CA

Flexible, school-based opportunities are available for Instructional Aides to provide essential 1:1 support to students in third-grade classrooms. Position Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom settings
• Assist students 1:1 or in small groups as directed by teachers and school personnel
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
• Supervise, support mobility, and address personal care needs when necessary
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Current TB test according to district guidelines
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required
• Clearances must be current or obtained before starting the role

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience working with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Training or certification such as CPI, PMT, or RBT is advantageous but not mandatory
• Reliable, patient, and a strong team-oriented approach
