Burgess Construction is looking for an experienced Lead Deck Builder to join our growing team.
We specialize in high-quality custom decks, patio covers, railings, and outdoor living spaces throughout Snohomish and North King County. Our projects are designed to last, and our reputation is built on craftsmanship, professionalism, and doing things the right way.

What You'll Do
- Build custom composite decks
- Read plans and execute projects accurately
- Lead and mentor crew members on the jobsite
- Coordinate daily work to keep projects moving efficiently
- Ensure projects meet company quality standards
- Communicate professionally with homeowners when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized jobsite
What We're Looking For
- Several years of hands-on deck building or finish carpentry experience
- Strong knowledge of framing, layout, stairs, railings, and exterior construction
- Ability to read construction plans
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Washington driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work outdoors year-round

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite, prioritizing safety and efficiency at all times.
Qualifications:
- Experience in deck building or finish carpentry, with a focus on custom composite decks.
- Strong knowledge of framing, layout, stairs, railings, and exterior construction techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans accurately to ensure precise execution.
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards.
- Effective communication skills to professionally interact with homeowners and address concerns.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Washington driver's license with a clean driving record are required.
