Job Description

Burgess Construction is looking for an experienced Lead Deck Builder to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality custom decks, patio covers, railings, and outdoor living spaces throughout Snohomish and North King County. What You'll Do

  • Build custom composite decks
  • Read plans and execute projects accurately
  • Lead and mentor crew members on the jobsite
  • Coordinate daily work to keep projects moving efficiently
  • Ensure projects meet company quality standards
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners when needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized jobsite
What We're Looking For
  • Several years of hands-on deck building or finish carpentry experience
  • Strong knowledge of framing, layout, stairs, railings, and exterior construction
  • Ability to read construction plans
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid Washington driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work outdoors year-round

  • Interpret and execute construction plans accurately to deliver precise and quality results.

  • Coordinate daily tasks and resources to maintain project timelines and efficiency.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite, prioritizing safety and efficiency at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in deck building or finish carpentry, with a focus on custom composite decks.
  • Strong knowledge of framing, layout, stairs, railings, and exterior construction techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans accurately to ensure precise execution.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills to professionally interact with homeowners and address concerns.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Washington driver's license with a clean driving record are required.
